The strange world of the teenage brain

I recently had the opportunity to share a few thoughts with the teaching staff at my school.  I decided to talk about one of the most important insights I have learned about teenagers in my 19 year teaching career: who teens are is not who they become.  A great deal of the change we see from the teen years to full adulthood comes from a region of the brain called the prefrontal cortex.
